Three students who are studying abroad are currently attending Chef’s class, Aruzhan Amangeldi (Kazakhstan), Julie Blumentrath (Germany), and Nuria Cano (Spain). They have been teaching us about common dishes from their countries and would like to share one with all of you! Aruzhan (Rue) has Russian roots, speaks Russian, and taught us how to prepare this delicious dish known as borscht.

Special thanks to our visiting students for sharing this common dish from Eastern Europe and Nothern Asia; it’s packed with nutrients and is very good! Place any special requests for additional recipes from around the world in the comments below!

Thank you for the recipe!
Some of my family are world travelers and I am always interested in the unique foods they get to try. Thanks to these students for sharing.
I have tried this, not my favorite.
Borscht has a variety of vegetables in it so it should be full of fiber!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing!
