Oakland Mt. Lake Park Lions Club Autumn Glory 5k Run / 2 mile Walk for Sight Race
Please note there is an event fee to participate in this community 5k run/ 2 mile walk to benefit the Oakland Mt. Lake Park Lion’s Club.
Enjoy ideal fall foliage at Broadford Park to kick off the Grand Feature Parade day as we celebrate the highly anticipated community event! The course runs across the breast of the dam to Simon Pierce Glass blowing and back. The surface is a mixture of pavement, mowed grass trails, and gravel roads.
All activities, including race-day registration and packet pick-up, will occur outdoors or under an open pavilion. Be prepared for the weather, parking is next to the start/finish. Race day registration will be available starting at 7:30am.
The finish line will be “no touch” and your bib number will be manually recorded at the finish (no chip timing). So, we please ask that you visibly wear your bib number in the front of your outfit and be sure it has been recorded as you exit the finish line chute.
5K runners will all start at 8:30 am with 2 Mile walkers following at 8:40 am. Remember, runners may walk but walkers should refrain from running.
Awards, random prizes, and t-shirts are not guaranteed at this time. As we approach race day and have a better understanding of participation levels and sponsorship availability, we will update race information appropriately. Entry fees are non-refundable and in the event that circumstances beyond our control determine the event must be canceled, the Oakland/Mt. Lake Park Lions Club thanks you for your support.
