Are you curious about pickleball but hesitant to show up and play? Grantsville is the perfect spot to get your steps in at the Town Park and watch pickleball. Step inside the fence and introduce yourself; they’ll hand you a paddle and teach you how to play. Last week, I went around 10:30 and played two games. They are the same fun, gracious players, but now there are more people! Usually, they have four courts going at once. New people keep coming to play because it’s a great opportunity for fitness with really nice folks. Every week, they play in Grantsville on Wednesday and Friday, starting at 9. If it looks like rain, they won’t play, but it’s been dry, and the courts have been popping! They outgrew the Oakland location, but there’s an app you can get to connect with other players and play pick-up games in areas close to you.
