Chef Rob Scardina and I were on location at FireFly Farms in Accident, Maryland, to film the second Harvest Hub Meal Box recipe, Stuffed Peppers! You will not want to miss the incredible summer flavors in this dish. The Harvest Hub Meal Boxes are full of farm-fresh goodness, and Chef’s expert instruction makes it pretty easy for the rest of us to create the same thing at home.
This Is The Last Day To Order The Stuffed Pepper Meal Box! Visit GarrettCountyFood.com today
Here’s how it works: The box costs $30.00, and if you have a SNAP card, it costs $5.00. Boxes are also available to purchase and donate to a family in need. We will be set up at Southern High School on Tuesday, August 27th, at 5:30 to distribute the boxes that have been pre-ordered online.
A huge shout-out and big thanks to Mike, Pablo, and the entire staff at FireFly Farms. They were so welcoming and gave up their space so we could prepare this video. We had a lot of fun and ate well! They’ve been donating their cheese to our Meal Boxes and are excellent partners.
Photo and video credits go to Suzannah Sisler and Luke Mongrain; thanks for helping bring this to life!
This opportunity is possible through funding from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Maryland Department of Health via the Population Health, Innovation & Informatics unit within the Garrett County Health Department. Backbone Food Farm, Honey Moon Farm, and Ma & Pa’s Country Store are our participating farms. We love working with this team; they are passionate about helping others.

Stuffed peppers are a favorite of mine!
This sounds delicious!
Yummy and nutritious!
I can’t wait to get my box tomorrow!
Great opportunity and recipe!!
This looks really good.
Looks so good.
Yummy!
Great video & fun recipe.
I made this recipe with a little twist: Instead of ground beef, I used ground italian sausage and instead of zucchini I used small pieces of broccoli. It was delicious!!
Oh and quinoa instead of rice!
Like Luke said, this recipe is easily changed to suit your favorite tastes.
