We’ve hosted paddle boarders and kayakers at our Tuesday morning paddle. If you have great balance like Denise, you can step on the paddle board and not even get your feet wet. However, it’s totally acceptable to start on your knees and stay on your knees for more stability on a paddle board. Any ability level is welcome and we welcome beginners! Ranger Luke is always close by to assist anyone who needs help and guides our group. However, if you prefer a little solitude, once you check in with us in the morning and sign the form, you are free to paddle at your own pace and explore the lake at your leisure. It’s been so much fun, and going at 8:00 a.m. before the sun heats things up is really nice.

Over the weekend, someone asked me if they had to use their points to attend the event. They were so happy when I told them we award points for participation in the events. If you are office-bound every day of the week, rearrange your schedule, flex your time, or take a day off and enjoy an hour trying something new.

We hope to see you tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 16th, at 8:00 a.m. by the Lake House in the beautiful Herrington Manor State Park!
