As our season shifts, it’s the perfect time to get outside. More movement means better health. According to the National Institutes of Health, REGULAR physical activity reduces the risk of and/or improves many diseases and conditions, including arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus type 2, dyslipidemia, obesity, coronary heart disease, chronic heart failure [3, 4], and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [4]. In addition, the risk of colon [3, 5], breast [4, 5], and possibly endometrial, lung, and pancreatic cancer is reduced. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3395188/.
We are down a volunteer to lead our planned hike tonight, so we need to postpone. However, we want to encourage you to make some time today for physical activity. In the comments below tell us about your workout, adventure, or evening stroll for 30 bonus points! (they will be awarded by COB on Friday). Have fun & stay safe!

Thanks for the update!!
I try to walk in the morning, afternoon & the evening…basically after each meal!! I enjoy spreading the exercise throughout the day! We love walking in our beautiful local and State parks!
Thanks for letting us know – will head out for an evening walk for sure !
Thanks for the update. My husband is always ready to stroll with me and that makes walking more enjoyable. We often take a brisk morning walk through the neighborhood, enjoying an occasional chat with a neighbor. We frequently try to hike again in the evening-all while enjoying God’s beautiful creation.
I love to walk! I live on a farm and walking is one exercise that I can do everyday. (Lord Willing) My goal is 5000 steps but I usually double that! I need to raise my goal.
Love outside walks!!
My husband and I try to take a daily walk, which we did today, plus we also got a little workout pulling weeds and harvesting food from our garden.
Heading to Swallow Falls for a hike later today with my son…can’t wait!
My son likes to ride his bike out our road in the evenings. I walk behind and enjoy getting a better view of the sunset, as we live in the woods.
Sounds good.
My dig and I hike each day but long hikes on weekends
Our dogs keep us walking.
They always want to go.
I like to take walks with my grandchildren. My goal would be to get in more walking in the evenings after work.
My dog makes me take a lot of walks.
I try to go on different routes each week around my neighborhood to keep an eye on what’s going on! Ha!
I walk every day with our dog.
