FREE CLINIC FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS- ESPECIALLY BEGINNERS
Pickleball has been bringing people together in Garrett County for fitness and fun. Dave Welch and his pickleball pals started playing at the Oakland Armory, and it has really taken off. We’ve been featuring the group pictured above on GoGarrettCounty.com. They began at the Senior Fitness Club. Brooke McConnell applied for GC In Motion funding for portable nets, balls, and paddles, and this group rotates between Grantsville and Oakland playing on outdoor courts.
Both groups are coming together on May 22nd for a Pickleball Clinic. Dave and a group of volunteers will teach beginners the basics of the game. The regulars will go over the rules and scoring while playing and getting some exercise!
Even if you are a little bit curious but are not sure it’s for you, please come and check it out~
Participating in the event will earn you points from Go! Garrett County. You’ll also have a chance to win one of our cool prizes from the Go! Garrett County Prize Shop at noon on the court!
