Bring the whole family and learn how to cross-country ski with a free lesson from Ranger Luke. Equipment is also available for free for GO! Garrett County participants with an account. Don’t have an account for Go! Garrett County, signing up is easy and free! Boot sizes begin with a toddler size 9.5 and extend into men’s size 13. There’s a set of boots and skis for just about everyone! This is our second group adventure in 2023, and we’re so excited to have some fresh snow for this unique opportunity. Dress in layers and come early (about 9:30) if you need to be fitted for equipment. There will be a warm fire going in the lake house, and our lesson starts at 10:00! If you have your own equipment or already know how to cross-country ski, you’re invited to join in the fun!

How long can you stay after? Or is it just one hour and then it is all done and you have to leave?
Hi Heather, the park closes at dusk; you are welcome to stay there until they close the gate.
Cross country skiing is great exercise. I am going to try to come.
Do we need to register ahead of time? I do not have a GO account, but will make one if needed.

We are not taking registrations; we’ll see you there! If you need equipment, come early to get fitted and sign in.

cannot find any link to register kids to attend. The link attached to email says “not a member”, but we registered for an account.
Parents and kids over 13 can sign up for a Go! Account and ski for free. If you have little ones, bring them along, they can ski with you next time, provided we have equipment small enough.
Can we come without registering? We are having trouble getting registered.
I hope you made it out! We asked that everyone register for an Account on Go! Garrett County. The event: lessons and rentals were free to those with an account. Parents can bring younger children to participate with them for free.
