Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. has been facilitating the Warm the Homeless campaign over the past several months. Totes have been placed at the Fresh-Air Market Pavilion at the Oakland Town Parking Lot containing adult coats, gloves, scarves, hats, and blankets. These items are available 24/7 for those in need. We’ve recently noted an increase in need resulting in empty bins multiple times so far this year. Thanks to St. Paul’s and numerous other generous donations we have been able to restock items. Donations can be made at Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. 20 East Oak Street, Oakland, MD 21550, Monday-Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. We ask that items be new or lightly used and laundered. We look forward to continuing our efforts for the remainder of this winter season. Participation of any kind is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all that make this possible.

A great thing to have this time of year. With the recent weather & temperatures I’m sure this has helped so many.
I hope this continues this year
Such a great campaign! I hope to see it again this year.
