Dare we explore this March day without an extra layer of clothing or an umbrella? Go for it! We can fully embrace the mild day and even enjoy some sunshine! It’s much easier to “get my steps in” on a day like today. We know by now that any movement is good, so let’s keep counting those steps! However, those other numbers are never too far from my mind, 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and the two days of strength training we need weekly according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. I don’t know about you all, but sometimes I run out of days in the week before I accomplish that baseline. If we can commit to vigorous activity, we can shave it down to 75 minutes, which can also be challenging!
A few of you have commented about wanting to return to counting seven days instead of limiting it to five in our weekly step challenge. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. I’m all for returning to the seven days in our challenge because I tend to catch up on the weekends!

OMG sooo nice today. I just wish it were here to stay!!!
The weather was perfect today for a walk at Herrington Manor.
Never understood the reason for 5 days because of how Fitbit reports. My Fitbit reports 7 days in a week.
I liked the seven days. I get a weekly report from my tracker and it covers seven days. Loving this nice weather, even if temporary.
Nicer weather does help! I would prefer returning to counting steps for seven days.
It was a beautiful day!
I like seven days tracking. It helps balance if I have a low step day for some reason.
As the weather improves I definitely will have more steps over the weekend. I’m ok either way 5 or 7 days. I think the 5 day/week challenges me to be purposeful throughout the week with exercising.
I get why you are doing weekday I know most of my walks were on weekends but I pushed myself to get more steps either way works
I had been accepted for the coach and filled out and submitted the paperwork but have never heard from them. Will they contact us?
I like the 5 day – it keeps me motivated throughout the week. I work M-F so I have to make time to get my exercise in. The weekends are never an issue.
I prefer including Saturday and Sunday since that is when I am not at work and have more time for intentional exercise. Changing the clocks to “Spring forward” this coming Sunday (March 12th) will help with having more daylight for outdoor exercising.
I’m ok with 5 or 7 days.
Still trying to catch up to the weekly winners! Great job
March weather……….you never know how its going to be………….
7 days seems to work better for me.
