Please join us for our first meeting specifically designed to bridge our local farms and our food-insecure population. This issue is complex, interconnected, and contextual to our region. We need to hear from you; your voice matters now more than ever! The importance of working together cannot be overstated in our mission to alleviate this crisis. No one should be hungry, surrounded by this much farmland and the caring neighbors that make Garrett County a unique and wonderful place to live!

We’re interested in establishing an interconnected community network to create a comprehensive support system that addresses various aspects of food insecurity. It is my hope that individuals with different perspectives and a desire to find solutions will kick off this first meeting with curious and constructive conversations.

It’s a hybrid meeting; I’ll be in the first-floor conference room at the Garrett County Health Department; join me in person or use the link and join me virtually. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, Oct. 26th!
