Hospice is featured in our first week of this campaign designed to begin conversations about changes going on around us and within us. As a community, we want everyone to know that it’s okay to struggle and that no one needs to do it alone. Wearing green won’t solve our issues with depression, anxiety, trauma, fear, or any other problem we’re facing. However, it’s an opportunity to stand together and point to the resources in our community that offer help.

Here’s a link to Garrett County’s Provider Guide – https://mygarrettcounty.com/provider-guide/ to get you connected to resources that are here to help!

Save the Date: June 19th is the 27th Annual Walk for Hospice of Garrett County!

It’s the largest fundraiser of the year for Hospice! The day begins by honoring patients who have passed during the last year with a candle lighting and celebration of life service. Immediately following will be the walk. There will be food, music, raffle baskets, and prizes for the top fundraisers. Any walker raising $50 or more will receive a free event shirt on the day of the walk. The event will be held rain or shine. As always, all monies raised will stay in Garrett County to help serve our terminally ill patients and their families.

Registration and sponsorship forms are available in the Oakland Office, located at 203 S. Second St; Oakland, MD 21550. They are also available as fillable PDFs on the website, www.hospiceofgc.org. For questions or further details, please contact the Hospice office at 301-334-5151 or email Donna Brenneman at [email protected]
