Walktober Day 28 – Community Favorites: Meshach Browning Trail System

by Oct 28, 2021Walktober

Welcome back to Day 28 of Walktober!

Today, we’re heading back to Garrett Trails and highlighting the Meshach Browning Trail System!

This exciting project, coordinated by the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club (and conveniently located next to HART’s adorable adoptables!), offers countless ways to enjoy the outdoors – from trails to art installations (including a 3D mosaic that was part of the Health Department’s IMPACT Garrett County Health x Arts project!).

For more information on this trail system, park, outdoor art gallery, and more, visit the Deep Creek Lake Lion’s Club page at: http://www.deepcreeklions.org/MB-Trailhead.html

How did you do with your fitness goals today? What’s your favorite local trail? Did you get in your 6,000 steps?, 10,000 steps?, or do something awesome to stay active? Join the discussion below, and you’ll earn 3 MORE prize points each day during Walktober!

  1. Kathy Skipper

Thank you so much for educating us on all these trails, many that I did not know about.

    • Dee

Another great job from Deep Creek Lions Club. New info. to me. Thanks

  2. Lacy Coffren

Sounds great! Another to add to the list!

    • Deb

Finally back to walking trails after Covid hitting my home. Glad we are both vaccinated or we could have gotten very sick.

  3. Joyce Lander

Saw a sign about this trail head the other day when we passed the Hart center. Had no idea there was a system of trails from there.

  4. Jenny

Another 14,000 step day for me!

  5. K Pfaff

    I love this trail system!

  6. Gayle

    One of my favorites!

  7. Chrissy

Will definitely have to check these trails out. I like the trails at New Germany State Park. It would be great to get a group of gogarrett members together and hike different trails each month!

  8. Amy Wilburn

So many trails, so little time.
