Welcome back to Day 17 of Walktober!
Today, we’re heading back to Garrett Trails and highlighting the Herrington Manor to Swallow Falls Trail! We heard about this trail from Luke earlier this week, and have had several folks interested in learning more! (https://gogarrettcounty.com/walktober-day-12-explore-herrington-manor/)
[The Herrington Manor to Swallow Falls Trail is a] 5 mile (one-way) trail connecting Swallow Falls and Herrington Manor State Parks through Garrett State Forest. Much of this trail is on old logging roads and a historic railroad bed. The trail is fairly level, but some long hills test your endurance.

I walked the streets of Oakland yesterday watching the Autumn Glory soaked parade.
42 this am. Back on the elliptical this morning. Walked this trail with friends in the past. Didn’t go to the falls that day. Made it a shorter hike.
I live walking at Swallow Falls.
I use to love, stashing a car and lunch at SF, then go to HM to run from HM to SF trail then have lunch at the Falls.
Walked a very short part of this trail before. Unfortunately not able to get out and walk right now.
I’ve never done this trail, but have really wanted to. I’m gonna try to get to it soon!
Have walked this in the past. Need to go again. Thanks.
I spent today hiking with a friend at the amazing Dolly Sods.
My family and I went there last weekend and it was too foggy to see anything, unfortunately.
Love this trail! 11577 steps today
I’ve walked this trail in the past. 10, 889 steps today!
Love walking to the falls! Great scenery.
This trail is definitely on my list of places to hike!
Not enough hours in the week to enjoy all this beautiful scenery.
Keep moving Garrett County!
I love walking around the falls! It is such a display of beauty and the power of water on God’s earth.
