Welcome back to Day 9 of Walktober!

Today, we’re highlighting one of our favorite community trails – the Loch Lynn Town Trail.

The Loch Lynn Town Trail is an easy trail that is convenient and hosts wonderful views of one of Garrett County’s great small towns.

I first discovered this trail way back when Garrett County became the first Culture of Health community of Maryland (learn more at: https://www.rwjf.org/en/library/features/culture-of-health-prize/2017-winner-garrett-county-md.html) and helped host a tour of this trail for our community’s prize video. Ever since, it’s been one of my favorites for quick and easy exercise!

Here’s a brief description & link from Garrett Trails:

This is a short fitness/walking trail around the town’s athletic fields. The new section of trail provides an elevated boardwalk over a wetland area and gravel trail along the Little Youghiogheny River.
